Thanksgiving is over and you may be tired of turkey and turkey sandwiches. Hannah Holt of C-store Subways has teamed up with Paws Place to help the dogs. She will be donating 20% of sales on Sunday, November 30 from five Subway locations. So, watch this video and stop by to help the dogs. Click here for a flier with a list of participating stores. We will have adoptable dogs at both the Grandiflora Subway and the Maco Rd. Subway, both in Leland. Spread the word and help this be a huge success!
I am a two-year old springer spaniel mix that weighs about 48 lbs. I was found by the side of the road in early October by a young lady. She took me to the vet to check if I had a microchip, but I didn’t. She couldn’t keep me, so a friend of hers took me in. Everyone was trying to do right by me, but all I knew is that I missed my owner and was very sad. Then they got in touch with Paws Place. I was taken to the vet, was brought up-to-date on my shots and was treated for an ear infection. They also had noticed that my front leg didn’t look quite right and I started limping. It was recommended I see the orthopedist. It turns out I had an old fracture that healed improperly. The vet is recommending I have surgery. This surgery will cost approximately $2000. In addition to the cost, Paws Place needs to find me an appropriate foster home. Total recovery will take 10-12 weeks, but the first 6 weeks will be critical with mostly crate time and walking on a leash with very restrictive activity. If you would like to help by donating, please click on our donate button and indicate it’s “for Wally.” If you think you can foster, please send your contact info to firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will get in touch with you. Please help Paws Place to fix my leg and find me my forever home.
All dogs featured are from Paws Place, some adopted, some still available. You can get a calendar at all Paws Place Meet & Greets, Paws Place Kennel, Unleashed of Wilmington and Cape Fear Consignments in Leland. More locations to be added. You can also request a copy via Pay Pal. Please add $3 for postage and a notation in the comment section that says 2015 calendar. If you wish it to be mailed as a gift, please say so and provide an accurate address.
100% of proceeds of sales of calendars goes to the care of our dogs thanks to the support of our sponsors and boosters for the production of the calendar.
