Paws Place to Help Unleashed Celebrate their Anniversary Event–Saturday May 25!

Saturday, May 25: Meet and Greet at Unleashed in the Landfall Shopping Center, Military Cutoff Rd., Wilmington from 11:00 am till 2:00 pm. Wonderful dogs to greet you as you shop. Come share in the fun and celebrate with us at Unleashed’s Anniversary Event. The main attraction is a commemorative tote bag, free while supplies last, that gets you 20% off of anything you fit inside!! The sale lasts all day (10-6) and the festivities (free ice cream, door prizes, contests) run from 12-3!

Lowes Foods/Purina Food Drive–Saturday, May 11 at Lowes Food Store on College Rd.

Lowes Foods/Purina Food Drive to benefit Paws Place from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm at the Lowes Food Store on College Rd.  Free goodies for kids and parents.  Specials on Purina products.  Come and meet some of our wonderful dogs looking for their new families.  Click here for more information.

Belk Charity Sale–Saturday April 27. Buy your tickets now!

Friday, April 12-Friday, April 26:  Belk Charity Pre-sale.  Sale date is Saturday, April 27.  Buy a $5 ticket for Paws Place and receive entry to one of Belk’s best sales of the year! Tickets are available at all Meet & Greets, Four Legs Good in Southport, Unleashed in Wilmington, Cape Fear Consignments in Leland.

In addition, a Paws Place representative will be selling tickets at the Mayfaire Belk by the junior clothing dept. entrance on Monday 4/22, Tuesday 4/23 and Wednesday 4/24 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Shop early and get the best deals.  All proceeds from the $5 tickets go to Paws Place when you purchase your ticket from our representatives.

Farewell Lola!

We are sad to announce that sweet Lola crossed the Rainbow Bridge last Saturday. She was only 14 months old, but she loved life. Lola was one of eight puppies, born of a hoarding situation, that had kidney or lung issues that shortened their lives. Four puppies died shortly after birth, two healthy puppies were adopted and Quincy and Lola remained at PP. We lost Quincy in the fall. Thanks to loving care from everyone at PP, especially Lisa and Nancy, Lola lived a happy life beyond what the vets expected. Run free Lola! We will miss you.

Cinco De Bow Wow–Friday, April 5th at K-38 Inc. Restaurants

K-38 Inc. is once again hosting Cinco De Bow Wow on Friday April 5th.  They will be donating a portion of their sales for the day to The Sunburst Foundation, Paws Place, Pender County Human Society and Adopt An Angel.  Last year we had an amazing turnout and we are all hoping for an even bigger one this year.  Please mark your calendars and spread the word.  You can eat at any  of the following locations – K38 Baja Grill, Tower 7, Las Olas or Café Del Mar on April 5th, 2013 to support this great cause.

Mark your calendars–Sat. Feb 9–Photo Shoot with Dick Parrott

February 9 – PHOTO FUNDRAISER WITH DICK PARROTT  Come to Unleashed of Wilmington (Landfall Shopping Center) and have photos taken of your favorite pet by well know photographer, Dick Parrott.  For a $30 fee you will receive a high resolution CD for your use with 6 poses and a proof sheet.  Proceeds to benefit Paws Place.  No appointments necessary – 10:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Please note–visitors from Wilmington and Leland.  HW 133 will be closed north of Daws Creek Rd.  Please go to our contact page for directions for an alternate route to Paws Place.

No Meet and Greet Saturday, December 29

REMINDER – we will NOT be hosting Meet and Greet this weekend.  We will resume our regular schedule starting January 5 at Four Legs Good in Southport.  Visit our web site to view available dogs for adoption.  You can also visit the kennel everyday from 9 a.m. – noon.

Festival of Lights Cancelled due to rain

IMPORTANT!! OUR FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS SCHEDULED FOR TODAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Rain the last several days have made the grounds very muddy and the call for 40% chance of rain for today has made us make the difficult decision of cancelling. Thank you all for your support and interest.
