Winners of the grants will be decided based on the number of votes they receive by May 17.

Paws Place dog Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill dog rescue organization serving New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick Counties in southeast North Carolina.  The dogs we save in our community may be unwanted, lost, abused, starved or relinquished by their owners due to the economic hardships facing our community today.  We are in desperate need of a reliable vehicle to replace our aging Pawsmobile.  This vehicle is critical to help us transport dogs to events, adoptions and vet appointments.  Our current Pawsmobile has over 240,000 miles and is in need of replacement.  Our Community depends on the services of our no-kill shelter to save the lives of hundreds of dogs that would otherwise die or be euthanized.

She was responsible for tabulating the weight circles from Purina Dog Food that were donated by our supporters. Due to her efforts we are in receipt of a $500 check to our vet.
 
Edith has been coming out to the shelter for many years several times each week and helps with the laundry and other chores.  We really appeciate her help.

I’ve joined 47 other dogs here at Paws Place.  Won’t you please help Paws Place continue to help dogs like me.  They need your donations to help us dogs.  Come on, you can help some way – ADOPT – VOLUNTEER – DONATE!

The event is being hosted by Needham Animal Hospital and the Sunburst Foundation. 

It will be held on Saturday, January 28 from 2 pm to 5 pm.  Needham Animal Hospital is located at 3720 Federal Park Dr. in Wilmington (on the corner of 17th St. and College Rd.)
