Paws Place Board of Directors are:
Robin Arnaud – Board Member – Retired realtor who has had at least one dog almost her entire life. Robin worked in various fields while living all across the country and is now in the one which pays in puppy kisses! Two of her three dogs, Helen and Keller came from Paws Place.
Renee Shawn Clement – Board Member – Army veteran, having served on active duty for seven years. She retired from the federal government in November 2014. Renee is married to retired Army National Guard Colonel Lem Clement. Lem & Renee adopted Sugar Pie from Paws Place in October 2014.
Peggy Durso – Board Secretary and Director of Operations. Peggy has worked in administrative positions at a variety of industries in her career including financial planning, education, health services, legal and manufacturing. Peggy and Tony have one rescue cat and have adopted two dogs, Candi & Shasta from Paws Place.
Tony Durso – President. Tony is an engineer and an MBA who has retired from ExxonMobil Chemical Company. He is currently working with Human Capital Solutions as an executive recruiter.
Rick Mazur – Board Member – Retired computer specialist. His love for dogs and commitment to the challenges of raising funds will allow Paws Place to continue its mission for many years to come. He and his wife Mary are proud parents of an adopted dog, Rocco.
Darlene Rasel – Treasurer. Darlene is a retired Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Asset Management and former consultant to Moody’s Investors Services. She is a long time volunteer for Paws Place and along with her husband, Martin, is mom to three dogs, one of whom is a Paws Place dog.
Kim Williams – Board Member – Kim is an environmental consultant with Land Management Group, Inc. in Wilmington. She is married and has a five year old son, two dogs, Luki was adopted from Paws Place and various foster pups. Kim has been a volunteer with Paws Place since 2000.
George Zimmerman – Vice President. George is a PhD Chemist who is retired from Colgate Palmolive. George is currently the Project Manager for our new facility. George & his wife, Paulette, have recently adopted Maddie from Paws Place.
Paws Place was founded in 1999 by Nancy Janovetz. During our sixteen years of operation Paws Place has rescued and found permanent homes for well over 1000 dogs. That’s a tremendous track record of saved dogs and happy families who have adopted them.
