I am a two-year old springer spaniel mix that weighs about 48 lbs. I was found by the side of the road in early October by a young lady. She took me to the vet to check if I had a microchip, but I didn’t. She couldn’t keep me, so a friend of hers took me in. Everyone was trying to do right by me, but all I knew is that I missed my owner and was very sad. Then they got in touch with Paws Place. I was taken to the vet, was brought up-to-date on my shots and was treated for an ear infection. They also had noticed that my front leg didn’t look quite right and I started limping. It was recommended I see the orthopedist. It turns out I had an old fracture that healed improperly. The vet is recommending I have surgery. This surgery will cost approximately $2000. In addition to the cost, Paws Place needs to find me an appropriate foster home. Total recovery will take 10-12 weeks, but the first 6 weeks will be critical with mostly crate time and walking on a leash with very restrictive activity. If you would like to help by donating, please click on our donate button and indicate it’s “for Wally.” If you think you can foster, please send your contact info to firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will get in touch with you. Please help Paws Place to fix my leg and find me my forever home.
